Job summary

Sutter Health in Berkeley, CA is seeking a dedicated RN to provide direct patient care in an acute setting at ABSMC-Ashby Campus. You will assess needs, educate patients and families, and coordinate care transitions with a collaborative team.

Requirements include CA RN licensure, BLS, ACLS; NIHSS preferred on hire. BSN is preferred; minimum one year in the specialty is required. This is a full-time, on-site role with variable shifts.

Position Overview

Accountable for the assessment, coordination, delivery and evaluation of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care in an acute patient setting. Delivers holistic and individualized care to all patients in an assigned area. Develops, implements, and coordinates a plan of care that incorporates psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and life-style factors. Fosters and maintains collaborative relationships between patients, their family/support group, physicians, and other healthcare providers through timely and effective communications. Adheres to hospital policies, industry standards, best practices, and applicable laws and regulations to promote an optimal patient experience.

EDUCATION

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing Required
• BSN Preferred

Experience

• Minimum one year of current experience in area of specialty Required

LICENSURES AND CERTIFICATIONS

• Registered Nurse - CA State Licensure - RN Required
• Basic Life Support Certification - BLS Required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support - ACLS Required
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification - NIHSS Preferred upon hire and/ or within 2 weeks of starting orientation

Pay Range is $81.26 to $109.95 / hour

The posted pay range is based on the position's primary work location. Candidates who reside and work outside of that location may be subject to a different pay range based on their work location. Candidate starting salaries consider multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs.
