You will collaborate across the health care team, develop patient education plans, and participate in leadership activities including charging when needed. Strong RN qualifications and EHR proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse in Illinois.
• Graduated from an RN program.
• Current BLS/CPR and required unit-specific certifications.
• ACLS required within 6 months.
• Effective communication with patients, families, and health care team.
• Intermediate computer skills and proficiency with EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Develops and updates patient care plans based on ongoing assessments.
• Collaborates with the health care team to promote effective patient care.
• Verifies and implements orders and documents in the EHR.
• Engages patients and families to develop an appropriate educational plan.
• Advocates for patients and families and supports nursing colleagues.
• Assumes Charge Nurse role when assigned and mentors staff.
