Job summary

Children's of Alabama in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Staff Nurse to provide professional nursing care with minimal supervision. You will assess, intervene, reassess, educate, and evaluate care for pediatric patients in the Hematology/Oncology unit.

The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, an Alabama RN license, and current BLS certification. Schedule includes 3 twelve-hour night/evening shifts, with every third weekend, at the Benjamin Russell Hospital for Children.

Summary

The staff nurse is a professional nurse who, with minimal supervision, is responsible for providing nursing care to patients. Patient care includes assessment, interventions, and reassessments of the patient. The nurse is also responsible for planning, implementing, educating, and evaluating care of patients/caregivers.

The Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Unit 24 beds and is located in the Quarterback Tower of the Benjamin Russell Hospital for Children in Birmingham, Alabama.
