Agape Behavioral Healthcare in Fort Pierce and Port St. Lucie, FL, seeks Per-Diem & Part-Time Staff Nurses to support residential and detox facilities.

The Nurse provides nursing care under the Medical Director, conducts health screens, and helps develop Master Treatment Plans with the treatment team. Responsibilities include 24-hour admission documentation, medication administration, and coordination with physicians and a psychiatrist.

Formación

• Licensed to practice nursing in the state with current licensure.
• Minimum 1 year nursing experience in chemical dependency/psychiatric settings.
• Maintain current CPR certification and licensure per state requirements.

Responsabilidades

Agape Behavioral Healthcare, A top workplace three years running, is currently seeking Per-Diem & Part-Time Staff Nurses for our residential and detox facilities in Fort Pierce & Port St. Lucie, FL!

Schedule: Per-Diem & Part Time

The Staff Nurse is responsible for all Nursing related services for each patient and for linking patients to the physicians and to outside medical resources. The Nurse provides all services under the supervision of the Medical Director. The Nurse is responsible to provide medical & history screens, providing routine nursing care and overseeing the medical and psychiatric management of the patient in coordination with the attending physician. They are also a member of the Treatment Team and provide input into the development of the Master Treatment Plan.

Specific Areas of Responsibility:

• Completes the following documentation within 24 hours of the patient’s admission to the program
• Admission Note Nursing Assessment
• Pre-Screen Testing
• HRS Consent Form
• Patient Health Examination
• Transcribes Physician’s Orders and Implement all Medical Protocols as ordered
• Administers medications and monitor detoxification process
• Confers with and assist the Medical Doctor and the Psychiatrist.
• Makes appropriate referrals using referral forms
• Attends and participate in all “in-service” functions
• Assists with emergency situations and make immediate referrals
• Provides documentation which reflects services for each patient in accordance with licensure standards
• Maintains the Confidential nature of all patients and facility activities
• Maintains required Training & Continuing Education
• Maintains Standards of Ethical Conduct
• Meets with patients requesting to see the doctor to determine the urgency of their medical needs and expedite treatment as required
• Effectively communicates concerns about patient health to the Medical Director and follows up as necessary

Requirements:

• A minimum of a Graduated from a Community College with a degree or diploma of Nursing LPN
• A minimum of 1 years’ experience in a chemical dependency/psychiatric setting, preferably in a detox unit and/or inpatient, partial hospitalization and/or outpatient setting required.
• Licensed to practice nursing in the appropriate state maintains current licensure per state requirements with a minimum of 1 year nursing experience
• Maintains current CPR.
