The role includes patient intake, orientation, documentation, supporting groups, crisis de-escalation, and coordination of appointments while upholding HIPAA and safety standards. Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred; 1 year in substance abuse or mental health care preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
• Master's degree is preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in substance abuse or mental health care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support clinicians and staff with day-to-day operations.
• Assist with patient intake, orientation, and ongoing engagement.
• Observe and report patient behaviors, needs, and concerns to clinical leadership.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation.
• Support therapeutic programming, groups, and activities as assigned.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
• Assist with crisis de-escalation using approved techniques and training.
• Coordinate patient flow, appointments, and transitions as needed.
• Adhere to HIPAA, safety, and regulatory standards at all times.
• Serve as a compassionate point of contact for patients and families.

The Clinical Support Specialist is responsible for performing a wide variety of patient care activities as directed by the Clinical Director. He/she will provide direct and indirect support to the clinical team to ensure safe, compassionate, and efficient delivery of services. This role supports patient care, clinical operations, and program coordination while upholding the organizations mission of delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
