Job summary

Nscale is hiring a Staff Security Engineer - Network Security to define and implement network security patterns across corporate, OT/BMS, production, and customer networks. You will work with data centers, offices, and production management networks to establish trust boundaries and practical standards for fast, secure deployments.

Lead the design and review of segmentation, access control, and telemetry requirements while collaborating with IT, platform engineers, and security teams to balance

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in network security, data center networking, or related roles.
• Deep hands-on experience with routing, switching, firewall policies, and edge/security controls.
• Experience designing or reviewing secure networks across data centers and distributed infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of zero-trust, identity-aware access, and explicit authorization.

Responsibilities

• Define data center network security reference architecture across multiple networks.
• Establish trust-boundary decisions and required flows with security controls.
• Translate network diagrams into trust boundaries, flows, controls, and monitoring.
• Create policy positions to keep networks from becoming privileged access zones.
