Job summary

Altruist is hiring its first Staff Network Engineer to own multi-region AWS network architecture, segmentation, and secure access models. You will work with Security and partner teams to implement a scalable, AI-native approach for network operations.

The role is hybrid with three onsite days per week in San Francisco or Culver City, reporting to the Network Engineering leadership. If you bring deep cloud networking and IaC expertise, you’ll help shape our secure, scalable platform.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in network engineering with 3+ in cloud-native environments
• Deep AWS networking knowledge with scalable design and security
• Experience with network segmentation, traffic inspection, and IaC tooling

Responsibilities

• Own multi-region AWS network architecture across production, clearing, and platform environments
• Design and enforce segmentation to isolate traffic and deliver network as code via Terraform
• Lead the transition to a zero trust / SASE model with strong device posture for a distributed team
• Collaborate with Security to meet regulatory standards and audit requirements
• Define partner connectivity like VPNs, BGP, and Direct Connect across counterparties
