Job summary

Altruist is seeking a Staff Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to lead the AWS-based infrastructure powering our broker‑dealer platform. You will own critical domains end‑to‑end, shaping reliability, security, and scalability in a hybrid model with onsite days in Culver City or San Francisco.

You will drive AI-forward infrastructure, manage Kubernetes platforms, and influence engineering practices across the organization while mentoring teammates and delivering high‑impact initiatives.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on cloud infrastructure engineering experience in AWS environments.
• Strong expertise in EKS, IaC, and Terraform module design.
• Proficient in CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Jenkins).
• Demonstrated ability to design and operate scalable, secure infrastructure at pace.
• Experience with observability, monitoring, and incident response.
• Excellent communication and leadership for cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and operate production AWS infrastructure for high-availability financial services workloads.
• Own IaC strategy and drive reusable patterns across teams.
• Lead EKS platform strategy including cluster upgrades and governance.
• Drive CI/CD platform improvements to enable safe, fast deployments.
• Define and drive DR strategies and cross-region failover designs.
• Lead architecture reviews and mentor engineers across the CIN team.
• Define AI/ML infrastructure strategy and governance for developer tools.
