Job summary

Joby Aviation seeks a motivated MRB Liaison Engineer to join the MRB Engineering team in Marina, CA. You will disposition non-conformances and ensure materials and components meet airworthiness requirements while supporting cross-functional teams.

The role requires a strong aerospace background, hands-on aircraft manufacturing experience, and the ability to travel domestically up to 25%. Joby offers a comprehensive benefits package and RSU program to eligible employees.

Qualifications

• B.S. in aerospace or mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• 2+ years hands-on experience in aircraft manufacturing or repair depot (incl. internships, co-ops).
• Experience with CATIA V5/V6 or similar CAD program.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Highly proactive with ability to manage multiple assignments.
• Ability to travel domestically (25% or less).

Responsibilities

• Select methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to resolve complex engineering issues.
• Write robust dispositions to restore airworthiness.
• Produce structural substantiation reports for NCR disposition.
• Monitor trends of recurring discrepancies; support root-cca actions.
• Communicate with quality, inspection, manufacturing engineers, and M&P.
