Job summary

Cincinnatus LLC is partnering with a large enterprise to place a Staff Software Engineer on the team behind its Android and iOS apps. This mobile-first role also touches backend services, APIs, and web, with AI coding tools as a normal part of daily tasks.

The opportunity is a 40-hour workweek on a W-2 basis, with placement in the client’s engineering organization as part of an extended workforce. You’ll own features end to end, collaborate cross-functionally, and grow your skills across the

Qualifications

4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Native mobile experience, ideally Android with Kotlin and Jetpack; iOS/Swift welcome.
Backend services, APIs, or web app experience.
Strong fundamentals in design, testing, and debugging.
Familiar with AI coding tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude).
Able to commit to at least 40 hours/week.
Clear communication and collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

Build and ship features for the team's native mobile apps, mainly Android in Kotlin.
Contribute beyond mobile when needed, across backend services, APIs, and web applications.
Use AI-powered developer tools to get up to speed on unfamiliar code and ship with quality.
Take part in technical design, code reviews, and production support.
Work closely with Product, UX, and partner engineering teams, and help other engineers grow.
