Cincinnatus LLC is partnering with a large enterprise client to place a Staff Software Engineer on the team behind its Android and iOS apps. It's a mobile-first role, but engineers here also pitch in on backend services, APIs, and web, and use AI coding tools as a normal part of their day.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Hands-on native mobile experience, Android (Kotlin) with Jetpack; iOS/Swift welcome.
• Flutter or React Native counts if you've done native work.
• Some production experience outside mobile (backend APIs or web apps).
• Solid fundamentals: design, testing, debugging.
• Comfortable using AI coding tools like Copilot, Cursor, or Claude.
• Available for at least 40 hours/week, weekdays.
• Clear communication and collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship features for native mobile apps, primarily Android.
• Contribute beyond mobile to backend services, APIs, and web apps.
• Use AI-powered developer tools to speed up familiarization and delivery.
• Participate in technical design, code reviews, and production support.
• Collaborate with Product, UX, and partner teams; mentor peers.
