Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to design, build, and operationalize scalable AI solutions. You will work across AWS Bedrock and GCP Vertex AI, building secure, HIPAA-compliant workflows in a remote-first environment.

You will lead ML model development, collaborate with clinicians and IT, and drive architecture and deployment across serverless and microservices. Strong leadership and Python/Node.js skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in large-scale software development.
• 5+ years solution architecture or system design experience.
• 5+ years building large-scale microservices/APIs using Node.js.
• 3+ years hands-on experience with GCP and AWS (serverless, event-driven, AI/ML, CI/CD).
• AWS Bedrock and/or GCP Vertex AI experience or similar.

Responsibilities

• Drive development of ML models and algorithms for healthcare problems.
• Collaborate with data scientists, clinicians, and IT to define projects.
• Define metrics and evaluation methods for ML models and monitor performance.
• Design scalable ML systems including data pipelines and model training.
• Lead cost, performance, and scalability optimization.
