Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to lead investigations, organize data, and present corrective action board investigations.
• Ability to report status updates and technical data to directors and managers.
• Technical leadership in DoD/production projects across domains.
• Familiarity with AS9100/ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Strong interpretation of drawings and GD&T.
• Experience with 8D or 5 Why root-cause methods.
• Experience with supplier corrective actions and audits.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Able to multitask in a dynamic environment and obtain a U.S. Government Secret Clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship required.

Job Location and Work Arrangement: This position is on-site at our Rocket Center, WV location. No remote work opportunities for this role. Relocation assistance may be available. Clearance required for start: Secret.

Responsibilities

• Generate quality reports such as First Pass Yield, First Article Inspection, Cost of Quality, and related metrics.
• Analyze data and drive process improvements.
• Receive and/or develop inspection plans based upon statistical methods.
• Review data and statistical analysis to assess process capability to meet required standards and specifications.
• Use Lean tools such as risk assessment, 8D, DFMEA and/or PFMEA.
• Build and maintain working relationships with suppliers; conduct periodic supplier audits to ensure compliance with plans.
• Validate and coordinate product readiness for use or delivery, including FAAT qualifications of new suppliers.
• Provide and support failure analysis processes for program hardware.
• Perform independent risk assessments on Mission Assurance issues and communicate issues and findings.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 12 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree and 10 years of relevant experience, or a PhD and 8 years of relevant experience; strong STEM degree from an accredited college or university.
• Ability to lead investigations, organize data, and present corrective action board investigations.
• Ability to report status updates and technical data to directors and managers.
• Significant technical leadership experience in at least two of the following areas: DoD development projects; Energetics production projects; Electronics production projects; Composites production projects.
• Familiarity with quality management systems such as AS9100 or ISO 9001.
• Strong interpretation skills with technical drawings and GD&T.
• Experience with root cause and corrective action methodologies such as 8D or 5 Why.
• Experience working with suppliers to support supplier corrective actions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Able to work on multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Clearance.
• US Citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with performing and reviewing First Article inspections (FAI).
• Experience with conducting internal and external audits, as well as supporting third-party audits.
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer.
• Lean Six Sigma training and certification.
• Working knowledge of MES software (e.g., Solumina) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Costpoint).

Salary, Benefits and Other Details

Primary Level Salary Range: $152,900.00 - $229,300.00. The above range represents a general guideline; base offers consider factors such as scope, responsibilities, candidate experience and market conditions.

Benefits include health insurance, life and disability coverage, savings plan, company-paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal time. Overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonuses, and long-term incentives may be eligible depending on the position.
