Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Engineer Mission Assurance Level 2/3 for an on-site role at the Rocket Center, WV location. The position requires collaboration to generate quality reports, perform data analysis, and develop inspection plans in line with contractual requirements.

Level 2 or Level 3 qualifications specify degree and experience, with U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. Preferred includes Lean Six Sigma and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Solumina.

Qualifications

• Level 2 requires a bachelor’s degree with 2 years of relevant manufacturing/quality experience or a master’s degree with 0 years of experience.
• Level 3 requires a bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant manufacturing/quality experience or a master’s degree with 3 years of experience.
• U.S. citizen and ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
• Lean Six Sigma training is preferred.

• Generate quality reports such as First Pass Yield, First Article Inspection, Cost of Quality, etc.
• Analyze data and drive process improvements
• Develop inspection plans based upon contractual requirements
• Review data and statistical analysis to meet required standards and specifications
• Facilitate Root Cause Corrective Actions
• Build good working relationship with suppliers, conducting periodic supplier audits
• Validate and coordinate product readiness for use or delivery, including qualifications of new suppliers
• Provide and support failure analysis processes for program hardware
• Perform independent risk assessments on Mission Assurance issues and communicate issues and findings

Engineer Mission Assurance Level 2/3

This position is on-site at our Rocket Center, WV location. There are no remote work opportunities for this position.

Must be a US citizen and have the ability to obtain a DOD Secret Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

STEM Degree from an accredited college or university.

Lean Six Sigma training

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

Able to use custom manufacturing software (i.e. Solumina) to maintain quality records, traceability, etc

Able to work on multiple tasks in a dynamic environment

Use tools such as risk assessment, 8D, Root Cause Analysis

Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.

Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.

Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
