Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Mission Assurance Engineer to lead corrective and preventive actions across programs in Roy, UT. The role requires coordinating with DCMA, USAF, and leadership to ensure action effectiveness and compliance with AS9100/QMS standards.

The candidate will oversee RCCA activities, interface with suppliers and internal teams, and drive process improvements while maintaining DoD clearance requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree with 5+ years of experience, or a Master’s with 3+ years, or a PhD with 1+ year.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD security clearance (Secret, Top Secret).
  • Experience with quality management systems supporting program processes, audits, and/or improvements.
  • Experience performing RCCA analysis on product and process non-conformances.

Responsibilities

  • Lead teams with corrective/preventive action development, coordination, and verification of effectiveness.
  • Present to and coordinate with customer counterparts (DCMA, USAF) and program leadership.
  • Interface with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor, and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met.
  • Engage with QMS and AS9100 requirements and related audit programs.
  • Lead RCCA activities including root cause analysis (5 Why, 8D, Ishikawa, FMEA).

What You'll Get To Do

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications
  • A Bachelors of Science degree with 5 years of experience OR a Masters with 3 years of experience OR a PhD with 1 year of experience.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD security clearance (Secret, Top Secret; etc.).
  • Experience with quality management systems to support program processes, audits, and/or improvements.
  • Experience with performing RCCA analysis on product and process non-conformances.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong data analysis and visualization experience.
  • Experience with SPC or other process capability analysis methods for preventative engagement.
  • Experience with Global Supply Chain, Supplier Management, or Software Development processes.
  • Experience presenting to program or customer leadership.
  • AS9100 Auditor Training.
  • A Current/Active Secret Clearance

Primary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
