Job summary

Wolfspeed in Durham, NC is seeking a resourceful Process Engineer to lead sustaining and improving critical fab processes, and to work with a team of scientists, engineers and technicians to troubleshoot tools.

The role involves installing and characterizing new tools, monitoring WIP trends, and collaborating across fab teams to roll out new products and processes.

• Monitor daily WIP charts and respond to trend shifts/abnormal processing events.
• Establish and leverage relationships across various fab teams.
• Strategize and prioritize own work and work of reporting technicians.

Here’s the Gist:

Wolfspeed is looking for a resourceful, hand-on, problem-solving Process Engineer with the capacity to quickly grasp and resolve a wide range of technical challenges. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast paced, deadline-oriented atmosphere and be capable and willing to work in a team of scientists, engineers and technicians. Successful candidates must have hand-on experience in setting up, operating, and troubleshooting semiconductor processing tools such as scrubbers, defect inspection, metrology tools and sorters. User level experience of fab-wide systems (SPACE, CMMS, MES) is required. Semiconductor processes understanding is strongly desired. Candidates with excellent communication, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills will be given the utmost priority.
