Wolfspeed, Inc. seeks an Electronics/Mechanical Engineering Tech to sustain and improve epitaxy wafer processes on a 12-hour Back End Nights shift. You will report issues, coordinate with Process and Equipment Engineering, and help drive yields and cycle times on the factory floor.

This position provides process sustaining support for a wide variety of characterization and cleans processes on Wolfspeed’s epitaxy wafers.
The schedule for this role is a 12-hour shift for the Back End Nights rotation (Wednesday-Friday, every other Saturday 6:55 PM-7:00 AM).
Report and document process issues and equipment malfunctions.
Take corrective action and interact with Process and Equipment Engineering to identify and resolve any identified issues on the factory floor.
Handle non-conforming material events and any associated material depositions.
Assist in creating new procedures and refining existing procedures.
Collaborate with Operations and other engineering teams to achieve quarterly yield and cycle time goals.
Work closely with Process Engineering, Equipment Engineering, and R&D to sustain and improve processes.
This will include characterizing, documenting and possibly presenting data based around design of experiments (DOE).
Associate degree in Electronics Engineering Technology (EET) or Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET).
Will also consider a degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent experience within a semiconductor environment.
Understanding of and ability to handle structured problem solving in the form of OCAPs, 5Whys, and 8Ds.
MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Access experience.
JMP and SQL experience are a plus.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
Ability to stand, walk, sit, and move around assigned work locations without limitation for extended periods of time (i.e. up to 11 hours at a time).
Experience using hands to operate and sustain manufacturing equipment and processes.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. to chest height.
Must be comfortable wearing personal protective equipment or PPE (i.e. lightweight cleanroom suit, eye protection, gloves, etc.).
Ability to work in repetitive motions and pressure involving fingers, hands, and wrists, includes standing or walking over hard concrete surface.
This role may require additional duties and/or assignments as designated by management.
This role requires the lawful ability to access technical data, information, and areas controlled by United States export control laws and regulations.
