Job summary

Apptronik is seeking a Staff Mechanical Engineer to provide technical leadership in the design and development of the Apollo humanoid robots across their lifecycle—from concept to production and field support.

You will solve high‑impact mechanical problems and collaborate with electrical, software, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and operations teams to ensure performance, reliability, cost, safety, and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in a related mechanical engineering role.
• Proven ability to lead and deliver complex mechanical systems or architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design efforts for complex products, systems, and subsystems.
• Drive system architecture decisions, design trade studies, and technical risk mitigation.
• Own designs from concept development through NPI, production release, and sustaining.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, suppliers, and contract manufacturers to ensure production readiness and smooth ramp.
• Plan and execute verification, validation, and reliability testing activities.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through coaching, design feedback, and technical guidance.
• Contribute to and help define engineering standards, processes, and best practices.
