Job summary

Flowserve US Inc in Cookeville, TN, seeks a Staff Product Engineer to lead product line engineering for quarter-turn valves. You will identify configurations and coordinate with GTEC Bangalore to finalize engineering docs, BOMs, and drawings.

You will address design, cost, reliability, and serviceability while supporting sales and service in quoting and repairs. Responsibilities include ensuring complete design documentation, reviewing others' work, and driving product development and production

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Able to manage multiple projects using PM tools and methods.
• Must meet lead-time requirements and coordinate engineering workflow tasks.
• Familiarity with international valve standards.
• CAD/3D design with SolidWorks or Inventor experience.
• Ability to read and create manufacturing drawings for manufacturability and tolerancing.
• Effective oral and written communications.
• Collaborative cross-functional teamwork with customers and vendors.
• Independent worker with strong prioritization and delivery skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure engineering design and standards documentation is complete for global manufacturing and QA.
• Check and approve BOM and manufacturing/sales drawings; verify documentation from others.
• Provide technical support for new inquiries, including design of special products and evaluations.
• Support development addressing manufacturability, cost, reliability and performance.
• Transition product to manufacturing and assist sales/service with quoting and repairs.
• Promote engineering best practices and Flowserve standards.
• Maintain awareness of national/international standards and drive product improvements.
• Support manufacturing and quality in processing orders through the shop floor.
