Job summary

Form Energy is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join the Fluid Systems team, focusing on hydrogen management for our iron-air battery platform. You will architect, design, prototype, and test gas and liquid systems powering cell, module, and pack assemblies, with an eye toward high-volume manufacturing.

Relocation assistance is available. You will collaborate with the Electrical and Controls teams, mentor junior engineers, and champion safety in new lab processes while delivering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of industry experience in mechanical design of equipment, liquid or gas handling systems.
• Experience optimizing designs for manufacturing and cost-down.
• Experience in manufacturing environments or with contract vendors.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, prototype, and test the hydrogen management system to meet performance requirements.
• Build and maintain hydrogen flow system analytical models for design decisions.
• Fabricate and test prototypes to validate system designs.
• Design for high-volume manufacturing and cost reduction.
• Lead vendor engagements and collaborate with manufacturing engineers to scale to production.
• Coordinate with Electrical and Controls teams to optimize actuator and sensor integration.
• Mentor junior engineers and strengthen mechanical engineering practices.
• Champion safety in laboratory processes.
