Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in mechanical design of equipment.
• Experience with first-principles fluids modeling and cost optimization.
• Experience working in manufacturing environments or with contract vendors.
• Product development experience in early-stage environments ramping to production.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, prototype, and test air delivery system.
• Build and maintain air delivery flow system models for design decisions.
• Fabricate and test first-of-a-kind prototypes.
• Design for high-volume manufacturing and cost reduction.
• Lead vendor engagements and collaborate with manufacturing engineers.
• Collaborate with Electrical and Controls teams for actuator/sensor integration.
• Mentor junior engineers and advance mechanical engineering practices.
• Champion safety in new laboratory processes.
