Job summary

Form Energy is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead the Fluid Systems team’s Air Handling Systems design for our multi-day energy storage platform. You will mentor engineers, define requirements, and collaborate with vendors, manufacturing, and operations to deliver reliable, manufacturable designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 10+ years in mechanical design.
• Experience leading design work for complex mechanical systems and managing 2+ direct reports.
• Strong understanding of design for manufacturing and cost-down strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of Air Handling Systems for Gen 2 product designs.
• Mentor engineers, set requirements, and drive verification plans.
• Coordinate with vendors, manufacturing engineers, and operations.
• Establish best practices for fluid system design and documentation.
• Recruit and hire engineers aligned with excellence in design.
• Release designs with drawings and tolerance analyses, per standards.
• Guide root-cause analysis on failures in fluid systems.
• Travel up to 20% to Form Energy offices or vendor sites.
