Job summary

Polaris Inc. in Minnesota is seeking an experienced Advanced Technology Engineer to lead the design, fabrication, integration, and evaluation of new and emerging technologies across programs from concept through product launch.

You will work with engineering, design, and manufacturing teams to mature early-stage technologies into viable solutions, assess risks, and guide strategic decisions while collaborating with product teams on roadmaps and supplier collaborations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field is required.
• 8+ years of mechanical engineering design experience preferred.
• Agriculture, Transportation, powersports, or automotive design experience is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to work with ambiguity and emerging technologies.
• Proficiency with 3D modeling tools such as Creo or Blender.

Responsibilities

• Design, engineer, and build functional prototypes and concept models to explore emerging technologies.
• Translate ideas into tangible models and refine with cross‑functional teams based on tests.
• Lead concept builds and evaluate new technologies, documenting learnings for strategic decisions.
• Develop early‑stage technologies into viable solutions for product integration.
• Analyze risks and provide mitigation plans and feasibility assessments.
• Partner with product teams to align innovation with roadmaps.
• Coordinate materials testing and validation with suppliers and lab teams.
• Summarize findings and deliver data‑driven recommendations for material selection.
