You will guide teams across perception, planning, simulation, hardware, and test, delivering scalable autonomy solutions for USVs, UUVs, and cooperative UAVs while balancing theory with practical execution. Willingness to travel ~25% and obtain necessary clearances is expected.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in CS/EE/ME/Aerospace or equivalent experience.
• Typically 7+ years with a BA; or 6+ years with MS; or 4+ with PhD.
• Proficient in C++ and Python; RTOS experience; robotics background.

Responsibilities

• Robust motion planning for USVs/UUVs and cooperative vehicles.
• Localization, tracking, and sensor fusion for multi-agent networks.
• Safe maritime operations with COLREGS adherence.
• Develop distributed optimization and task allocation for heterogenous teams.
• Write high-performance, well-tested software with clear interfaces.
• Collaborate with perception, planning, simulation, hardware and test teams.
• Deploy capabilities to real surface vehicles and analyze mission logs.
• Contribute to autonomy roadmaps and new algorithm prototyping.
