Northrop Grumman in Huntsville, AL, is seeking a Staff Manufacturing Systems Engineer to support Production Operation Systems and Technology, acting as the SME for Manufacturing Engineering and digital tools like SAP, CPLM, and SmartMES. The role emphasizes data analysis, problem-solving, and collaboration across programs and functional teams.

The candidate should have a strong background in Manufacturing Engineering, MBOM/OBOM, and experience with ERP/MES/PLM tools, with a US security clearance

Qualifications

• 12 Years of relevant experience with Bachelors in Science STEM Degree; 10 Years with Masters; 8 Years with PhD
• Must be a US Citizen and have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope
• Strong experience using software for manufacturing (ERP, MES, PLM/PDM)
• Strong experience in Manufacturing Engineering
• Experience in a manufacturing setting
• Must be detail oriented, organized, and demonstrate a high sense of urgency
• Flexible work schedule to support out of service system testing
• Experience leading cross-functional teams
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Highly motivated self-starter, detail and quality oriented, and able to work independently

Responsibilities

• Support Production Operation Systems and Technology.
• Serve as the technical SME for Manufacturing Engineering and related functions within digital tools such as SAP, CPLM, and SmartMES.
• Develop cost/risk benefit summaries and recommendations for leadership.
• Engage and collaborate with programs and functional organizations to obtain, understand, and interpret manufacturing facilitation and scheduling requirements.
• Document, track, and monitor problems to ensure timely resolution.
• Work autonomously to develop and manage achievable production schedules for an entire factory servicing multiple businesses.
