Northrop Grumman Defense Systems in Huntsville, AL seeks a Staff Manufacturing Systems Engineer to serve as the technical SME for production operation systems and digital tools like SAP, CPLM, and SmartMES. You will support Manufacturing Engineering, optimize schedules, and collaborate across programs.

The role requires strong data analysis, project management, and experience with ERP/MES/PLM systems, MBOM/OBOM, and work instructions. Excellent communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• 12 Years of relevant experience with Bachelors in Science STEM Degree; 10 Years with Masters; 8 Years with PhD.
• Must be a US Citizen and have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope.
• Strong experience using software for manufacturing (ERP, MES, PLM/PDM)
• Strong experience in Manufacturing Engineering
• Experience in a manufacturing setting
• Must be detail oriented, organized, and demonstrate a high sense of urgency
• Flexible work schedule to support out of service system testing.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Highly motivated self-starter, detail and quality oriented, and able to work independently

Responsabilités

• Serve as technical SME for Production Operation Systems and Technology (SAP, CPLM, SmartMES).
• Support Manufacturing Engineering and related functions with digital tools.
• Develop cost/risk summaries and recommendations for leadership.
• Collaborate with programs and cross-functional teams to interpret requirements.
• Experience with project management and manufacturing scheduling software tools.
• Document, track, and monitor problems to ensure timely resolutions.
• Support MBOM/OBOM and Work Instructions development.
• Understand material flow and its interface with shop floor and global supply chain.
