Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Identify business news, emerging trends, and topics relevant to readers.
  • Monitor the In Business editorial inbox and evaluate submissions for newsworthiness.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with regional business leaders, sources, and contacts to generate story ideas and reporting opportunities.
  • Produce timely and accurate online news content
  • Assist with real-time news coverage and write stories as assigned.
  • Take ownership of designated business topics and beats, providing regular coverage across digital and print platforms.
  • Create and maintain social media content supporting editorial coverage.
  • Select and edit news content for inclusion in print publications.
  • Contribute feature stories, special sections, and other editorial content as assigned.
  • Collaborate with editorial staff to ensure consistent and comprehensive coverage across print, digital, newsletter, and social media channels.
  • Assist with company-sponsored events throughout the year.
  • Participate in the Great Game of Business and support company initiatives.
  • Adhere to all company safety standards, including general workplace safety, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Valid driver's license and adhere to company driving eligibility requirements, including proof of auto insurance.

Physical Requirements
