CVS Health is seeking a Staff Software Development Engineer - Java to lead the design, development, and modernization of enterprise-scale healthcare platforms. This role requires a strong technical leader who can mentor engineers and deliver secure, scalable applications for millions of customers.

You will work with Product, Architecture, Security, Operations and Engineering to build innovative solutions that improve healthcare experiences for members, providers, and colleagues.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development experience in large-scale distributed environments.
• 7+ years of hands-on Java application development with modern Java ecosystems.
• 5+ years of Java/Spring Boot development experience.
• 5+ years with enterprise cloud initiatives and cloud computing technologies.
• 5+ years designing and developing modern microservices and APIs.
• 3+ years of CI/CD pipeline automation.
• 3+ years in an Agile-based development environment.

Responsabilités

• Design and implement scalable solutions meeting business requirements and quality standards.
• Contribute to solution design and architecture discussions with architects and senior engineers.
• Provide input on performance, scalability, and feasibility of technical decisions.
• Participate in code reviews and uphold coding standards and best practices.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure alignment and technical insights.
• Adopt new technologies and tools to boost productivity and code quality.
• Share knowledge via code reviews, talks, and workshops to foster learning.
• Work with developers to implement complex features and deliver high-quality code.
• Mentor junior developers and help grow their technical skills.
