Job summary

SailPoint is seeking a seasoned Staff Software Engineer to drive architectural direction and deliver scalable microservices in a cloud-native SaaS environment. You will design, build, and deploy robust Java-based services and integrate AI tooling to accelerate delivery.

You will lead technically, collaborate with cross-functional teams, review code, and mentor engineers while solving complex distributed-system challenges. US-based, full-time role.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong Java experience with cloud, IAM/IGA, security and privacy focus.
• Experience with large-scale databases and messaging/events (Redis, Kafka).
• Modern SaaS architecture expertise (microservices, event-driven).
• Strong communication and autonomous, team-oriented work style.
• BS in Computer Science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Produce designs and estimates, implement features from product requirements.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership and maintain engineering standards.
• Review code and mentor engineers to ensure simplicity and quality.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across the stack and lead tool evaluations.
• Lead POCs and explore AI/tools to boost delivery efficiency.
• Manage on-call responsibilities and adapt to changing priorities.
