Job summary

Magnite seeks a Staff Java Engineer to join the DV+ Platform Team in Los Angeles, CA or hybrid with Broomfield, CO. You will design and implement microservices powering customer-facing and internal APIs, and lead full lifecycle from inception to deployment.

You will work with stakeholders, own technical specs, and drive scalable solutions using Java, Spring Boot, Docker, and AWS. Strong problem solving and leadership are required.

Qualifications

• BS degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of production server-side Java experience.
• Expertise in SOA, microservices, and scalable web services.
• Experience with Spring Boot and Docker.
• AWS experience (EC2, ECS).
• Strong SQL/Relational DB and NoSQL skills (MySQL, Postgres, Redis, MongoDB).
• Messaging systems: RabbitMQ or Kafka.
• CI/CD & tools: Maven, Git, Jenkins, Jira.
• Testing: TDD/Unit/Integration tests.
• JavaScript/React knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of software projects from inception to deployment.
• Design reliable, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to deliver results.
• Lead technical specs, development, integration, testing, and release of components.
• Address technical challenges and optimize code, refactor as needed.
