Job summary

US staffing Inc. is seeking an experienced Java Lead Engineer to guide the design, development, and deployment of enterprise Java applications in a hybrid Chicago environment.

The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with Java 17, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, and AWS, along with proven leadership capabilities. You will lead architectural decisions, drive scalable solutions, and mentor senior and junior engineers while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Java backend experience
• Strong Java 17 and Spring Boot expertise
• Experience building RESTful APIs and Microservices
• Hands-on AWS experience (IAM, DynamoDB, Kinesis, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, KMS)
• Strong SQL and database knowledge
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Experience designing scalable, highly available enterprise applications
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning skills
• Excellent communication and leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and deployment of enterprise Java applications
• Provide technical leadership and guide architecture decisions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions
• Ensure scalable, highly available deployments on AWS
