Job summary
CVS Health is seeking a Staff Software Development Engineer - Java to lead design and modernization of enterprise healthcare platforms. You will guide architecture decisions, mentor engineers, and deliver secure, scalable systems for millions of users.
You’ll collaborate with Product, Security, Operations, and Engineering to innovate, review code, and drive best practices across teams, with emphasis on cloud-native microservices and API development.
Qualifications
- 7+ years in enterprise software in a distributed environment.
- 7+ years of hands-on Java development with modern Java frameworks.
- 5+ years Java Spring Boot development experience.
- 5+ years cloud initiatives and cloud computing technologies.
- 5+ years designing and developing microservices and APIs.
- 3+ years CI/CD pipeline automation.
- 3+ years Agile development environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable solutions meeting business requirements.
- Contribute to architecture discussions with senior engineers.
- Provide input on performance, feasibility and scalability.
- Participate in code reviews and enforce quality standards.
- Communicate across teams to align on decisions and insights.
- Adopt new technologies and improve tooling for productivity.
