Duke Health is seeking a talented and collaborative Staff Interior Designer to support the planning, design, and implementation of interior environments across our hospitals, clinics, research, educational, and administrative facilities. This role combines creativity, technical expertise, and healthcare design principles to create spaces that are functional, aesthetically pleasing, safe, and supportive of patient healing, staff efficiency, and exceptional care delivery.
Healthcare, research, higher education, or commercial interiors experience preferred.
Education – Work requires a Bachelor's degree and eligibility for NCIDQ certification.
Experience – Work requires at least three (3) years of related experience in Interior Design, to include at least one (1) year of experience in a commercial setting.
One (1) year of experience as a buyer or purchaser of commercial furnishings may be substituted for one of the two (2) years of required experience.
OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE.
Duke University provides an annual base salary range for this position as USD $61,026.00 to USD $93,636.00. Duke University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position; candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills; internal peer equity; as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
