Job summary

Watney Robotics is seeking an experienced infrastructure leader to own the fleet's networking, remote access, and real-time video pipelines. You will also own CI, observability, and alerting for the fleet, and design the release gate and rollout process for changes that affect production robots in customer environments.

You will decide data residency and cost considerations, and work across software, ML, and fleet-ops teams to drive safe, scalable deployments.

Qualifications

• Experience leading infrastructure changes across multiple teams or owning a cross-team initiative.
• Experience with production networking or edge traffic for large systems.
• Experience owning observability and alerting for production systems.
• Experience building tooling that engineers rely on daily.

Responsibilities

• Own networking, remote access, and real-time video pipelines for the fleet.
• Own CI, observability, and alerting for the fleet and the services behind it.
• Build the release gate and rollout process for the fleet, and own the bar a change must clear.
• Decide where data lives, how it is kept, and what our infrastructure costs to run.
• Lead infrastructure changes with software, ML and fleet ops teams.
