Job summary

ShipBob is seeking a Staff Industrial Engineer – Supply Chain Operations to optimize warehouse processes across our network. The role combines autonomy with cross-functional collaboration to cut waste and improve throughput.

You will develop programs, provide floor support, create CAD drawings and cost analyses, and lead improvement projects aligned with safety and quality standards. Travel up to 30% and a pay-for-performance ethos are part of our fast-growing fulfillment platform.

Qualifications

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in Industrial Engineering.
• Advanced knowledge of production machinery, processes, and standards.
• Experienced in project management.
• Basic 2D/3D CAD software skills.
• Up to 30% travel required.

Responsibilities

• Enforce quality control to reduce waste.
• Improve the efficiency of fulfillment and transportation processes.
• Investigate, evaluate, develop project estimates, financial proposals, and manage a variety of operational projects.
• Facilitate and manage corrective and preventative action teams resulting from customer complaints, internal quality problems, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Provide technical support to operations by spending time on the floor learning processes, troubleshooting, and guiding and/or participating on multiple process improvement teams.
• Develop CAD drawings, process flow charts, cost saving analysis.
• Coordinate with cross functional teams on new processes and equipment planning.
• Define and document Standard Operating Procedures for new and modified processes.
• Identify and work to remove barriers that slow or prevent successful attainment of process improvement project goals.
• Manage process data collection and analysis as part of project tracking and completion.
• Follow Environmental, Quality, and Safety Management best practices and procedures.
• Comply to all food safety and compliance policies and regulations.
