Job summary

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. in San Jose, CA is seeking a Staff IC Foundry Engineer to lead process development for cutting-edge power ICs.

You will work with design, product, test and foundry teams to resolve yield and reliability issues and to optimize BCD processes. Ideal candidates have a strong background in DOE design, statistical analysis, and data mining, with excellent communication skills and a proactive, self-driven mindset.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in electrical engineering, power electronics, materials science, physics engineering, or related field.
• Experience with BCD process technologies, understanding device structures and yield mechanisms.
• Proven experience investigating yield excursions and performing root-cause analysis.
• Hands-on experience designing and analyzing DOE experiments.
• Strong proficiency in statistical data analysis and data mining tools.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, analyze, and resolve yield, reliability, and process issues across IC product lines.
• Serve as the primary technical interface with foundries, driving issue resolution and communications.
• Develop understanding of foundry processes, especially BCD technologies.
• Design, execute, and analyze DOE to identify root causes and optimize yields.
• Analyze wafer fabrication and test data to identify trends and improvements.
• Collaborate with design, product, test, reliability, and foundry teams to optimize processes.
• Assess impact of process changes on device performance and manufacturability.
• Prepare technical reports and recommendations based on data-driven analyses.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance quality and efficiency.
