Reddit, Inc. is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for the IAM team within the SPACE org. You will design, deliver, and support lifecycle of digital identities, authentication, and access across Reddit, partnering with cross-functional teams to meet security and regulatory standards.

You’ll modernize identity infrastructure, build self-service identity management, and integrate with protocols like SCIM, SAML, and JIT access, while driving governance and compliance across a global platform.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of backend development across multiple stack layers.
• Deep knowledge of corporate IAM covering workforce lifecycle.
• Ability to design and implement complex distributed systems under high load.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, Java, or TypeScript with a DevOps mindset.
• Understanding of OAuth, OIDC, and SAML and secure-by-design principles.
• Hands-on familiarity with enterprise identity solutions including Okta, LDAP, SailPoint.

Responsibilities

• Engineering & Integration: Develop, scale, and maintain core IAM capabilities and integrations.
• Observability & Data Analytics: Build monitoring, dashboards, and alerting; use anomaly detection.
• Process & Compliance: Create and maintain documentation, logs, and reports for compliance.
• Operations & Support: Troubleshoot incidents and perform root-cause analysis for 24x7 operations.
• Collaboration & Mentorship: Guide cross-functional partners on IAM best practices and standards.
