Join to apply for the Staff Highway Engineer role at Pennoni.

Position Overview

Pennoni Associates is seeking a Staff Transportation Engineer to work out of our Mechanicsburg, PA office. Responsibilities include:

1. Coordinating with internal staff for field work, design calculations, plan preparation, quantity calculations, and client submissions.
2. Transportation geometry design, Highway Occupancy permits, cross-section, and grading plans.
3. Erosion and sediment control.
4. Hydrology and drainage calculations.
5. Water and sanitary sewer utility layout and geometry.

Required Attributes

• Experience with PennDOT and Pa Turnpike design criteria.
• Ability to plan all phases of engineering design projects using engineering principles.
• Working knowledge of MicroStation.
• Proficiency with engineering software.

Preferred Attributes

• EIT Certification and PE License preferred.
• Ability to work independently and justify engineering design decisions.
• Willingness to learn and apply new skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proactive in improving work products.
