Job summary

Qualcomm Atheros, Inc. is seeking a skilled hardware engineering professional in California to lead, plan and synthesize ambiguous requirements, delivering technical hardware expertise through sales presentations, demos and deployments.

You will help sales assess applications, prepare detailed specifications, ensure solutions meet specifications, and provide follow-up support. You will also participate in design reviews and project meetings to shape development plans.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field, plus 3 years of related experience.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills in hardware environments.

General Summary

This individual leads, plans, synthesizes ambiguous or conflicting requirements and performs the complex responsibility of the providing technical expertise of hardware through sales presentations, product demonstrations, installation and maintenance of company products. Assists the sales staff in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs and preparing detailed product specifications for the development and implementation of customer solutions. Ensures that the product solution is functioning according to specifications. May provide follow-up support to company sales staff and customer personnel by disseminating technical information on specific hardware areas. Assists customers with any questions, issues, or troubleshooting regarding hardware tools and products. Acts as a strong contributor at design reviews and project meetings and communicates and implements a development plan.

Requirements

Will accept a Master's Degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related degree field and three (3) years of experience in a related occupation.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $156,895.00 - $215,000.00/year
