Job summary

Qualcomm Innovation Center, Inc. in Santa Clara, CA, seeks a software applications engineer to lead, plan, and synthesize requirements, providing technical software expertise through demonstrations, installation, and maintenance of company products.

You will assist sales in assessing customer needs, ensure solutions meet specifications, and contribute to design reviews and development planning, while supporting customers with questions and troubleshooting as needed.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in EE/CE/CS or related field; 3 years of experience in a related occupation.

Responsibilities

• Lead, plan, synthesize requirements for software solutions.
• Provide technical expertise through sales presentations, product demonstrations, installation and maintenance of company products.
• Ensure applications function according to specifications and assist with debugging.
• Support customers with questions, issues and troubleshooting of software systems.
• Act as a strong contributor in design reviews and project meetings; communicate development plans.

General Summary

This individual leads, plans, synthesizes ambiguous or conflicting requirements and performs the complex responsibility of the providing of technical expertise of software systems through sales presentations, product demonstrations, installation, and maintenance of company products. Assists the sales staff in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs and preparing detailed product specifications for the development and implementation of customer applications/solutions. Ensures that the application/solution is functioning according to specifications. May provide software development and consultation to prospective users and/or product capability assessment and validation. Assists customers with any questions, issues, debugging, or troubleshooting regarding software systems and applications. Acts as a strong contributor at design reviews and project meetings and communicates and implements a development plan.

Pay Range

$156,895.00 - $217,600.00/year
