Job summary

Palmetto Clean Technology in Charlotte, NC seeks an experienced Growth Tech Lead to steer the technical direction for our homeowner acquisition platform. You will own architecture across multiple teams, build APIs and services in TypeScript/Node.js, and guide engineers toward high-quality, reliable software.

You will mentor engineers, foster cross-team collaboration with product, design, marketing and QA, and help teams adopt AI coding tools responsibly.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including lead level ownership.
• Production experience with Node.js and Express and designing REST APIs.
• Hands-on with MongoDB or similar document databases.
• Strong web fundamentals: HTML, CSS, security, performance.
• Clear communication with non-engineers; mentoring engineers.

Responsibilities

• Set architectural direction for Palmetto Growth and align product and design teams.
• Design and implement APIs and services in TypeScript/Node.js for growth funnel.
• Build web experiences that move homeowners toward qualified appointments.
• Instrument, experiment, and use results to guide next steps in releases.
• Establish testing, CI/CD standards, and diagnose production issues.
• Write design docs and lead cross-team architecture reviews.
• Mentor engineers and tech leads through code reviews and pairing.
• Collaborate with product, design, marketing, QA, and platform teams.
