Job summary

Palmetto-Clean-Technology is hiring in Charlotte, NC for a senior software engineer who will own the Growth tech direction. You design and ship APIs and services in TypeScript/Node.js to drive homeowners toward qualified appointments, mentor peers, and raise engineering quality.

You’ll work with Product, Design, Marketing, QA and platform teams, while responsibly leveraging AI coding tools to raise the bar.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including leadership ownership.
• Production experience with Node.js and Express, REST API design and usage.
• Hands-on with MongoDB or similar document databases.
• Strong web fundamentals: HTML, CSS, security and performance.
• Excellent testing discipline plus CI/CD and Git practice.
• Ability to write design docs and influence cross‑team decisions.
• Clear written and verbal communication with non-engineers.
• Practical knowledge of agentic engineering.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction for the Growth area and align cross‑functional teams.
• Design and implement APIs and services in TypeScript/Node.js to drive qualified appointments.
• Build for learning with instrumentation and experimentation in releases.
• Own quality: testing standards, diagnose production issues, propose durable fixes.
• Write architecture design docs and lead reviews across teams.
• Mentor engineers and tech leads through reviews and pairing.
• Collaborate with product, design, marketing, QA and platform teams to deliver solutions.
• Elevate Palmetto's engineering standards while responsibly using AI coding tools.
