Shakepay is seeking a Staff Data Scientist, Growth to join cross-functional squads across engineering, marketing, and operations in Canada. You’ll identify growth opportunities, apply analytics and ML to drive smarter decisions, and impact how millions of Canadians use crypto.

You’ll own dashboards, define metrics, and lead experiments with autonomy, turning ambiguous problems into measurable outcomes. The role blends product thinking with rigorous data science in a fast-moving fintech

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data science, growth analytics, experimentation, or related roles in high-growth environments.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python; deep understanding of experimentation, causal inference, statistical analysis, forecasting, and KPI design.
• Excellent communication and ability to influence decisions with data.

Responsibilities

• Partner with engineers and designers to improve acquisition, activation, retention, monetization, and customer experience.
• Collaborate with marketing, finance, and operations to uncover growth opportunities and drive decisions.
• Champion experimentation and decision frameworks for fast, confident iteration.
• Define KPIs and success metrics to keep teams aligned on outcomes.
• Build dashboards, models, and self-serve tools for visibility into growth.
• Foster data-informed prioritization across the squad and company.
