Job summary

Redwire is seeking a Staff Ground Systems Engineer in Littleton, CO to support development, integration, and operations of satellite ground systems across the full mission lifecycle.

The role requires a strong systems engineering background, experience with OpCon/ICDs, and the ability to translate spacecraft requirements into detailed ground-system and operations specs. DoD clearance and US citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant STEM field is required.
• 5+ years in satellite ground system development, integration, test, or mission operations.
• Strong foundation across concept development, requirements, design, I&T, ops, maintenance, and decommissioning.

Responsibilities

• Support Government customers in planning, engineering, integration, and activities for satellite ground systems.
• Develop and document OpCons, mission threads, Use Cases, and S2G ICDs for end-to-end workflows.
• Translate requirements into ground system functional, performance, and operational specs.
• Collaborate with spacecraft, payload, network, TT&C, and user teams to define interfaces.
• Support test planning/execution across ground and space segments.
