Job summary

Samsung Electronics’ Austin R&D Center seeks a Staff GPU Graphics Core Performance Verification Engineer to lead pre-silicon performance verification and correlation for a next-generation GPU and system-level IP. You will help ensure performance predictability across models, emulation, and silicon environments.

You will architect verification strategies, develop scalable test environments, and drive data‑driven optimization while collaborating with architecture, RTL, modeling, and software teams

Qualifications

• Experience in GPU performance verification and workload analysis.
• Strong C++ and Python programming in Linux environments.
• Familiarity with graphics APIs (OpenGL/Vulkan/OpenCL) and GPU software stacks.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-silicon performance verification and correlation for next‑gen GPU and IP.
• Develop scalable test infrastructure, workloads, and profiling tools.
• Analyze performance across architectural models, RTL, emulation, and silicon to identify bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with GPU architecture, modeling, RTL, verification, and software teams to set performance targets and optimize workloads.
• Mentor engineers and advance performance verification methodologies.
