Delve Underground seeks a Staff Geotechnical Engineer to support tunnels and water infrastructure projects across major California locations, including Irvine. You will join a team delivering geotechnical analyses, investigations, and design solutions, collaborating with multiple disciplines.

Field work and travel are expected. The ideal candidate has a geotechnical/civil background, proficiency with analysis tools, and strong writing skills.

Formación

• BS in Geotechnical/Civil or Geological Engineering; MS preferred.
• EIT certification preferred.
• Microsoft Office and Bluebeam experience.
• coursework in geotechnical eng., soil/rock mechanics, tunneling, subsurface investigations.
• Familiarity with geotechnical analysis software for slope/excavation stability, seepage, seismic site response.
• Knowledge in Python scripting preferred.
• Ability to manage concurrent assignments and priorities.
• Strong analytical and technical communication skills.
• Willingness to work in the field and travel.

Responsabilidades

• Support geotechnical investigation programs including planning, permitting, data collection and reporting.
• Perform geotechnical analyses and design calculations for tunnels, foundations, excavation support systems.
• Perform geologic and seismic hazard evaluations.
• Prepare construction drawings and specifications for underground infrastructure.
• Write technical reports and communicate findings to staff and clients.
• Collaborate with multi-discipline project teams.
