Job summary

Wand AI is hiring a backend-leaning full-stack engineer to own the backend and data layer of a greenfield, customer-facing product. You will design core system architecture, decide what to build, and ship end-to-end with architectural ownership in a fast-moving, AI-driven environment.

You will work across the stack, leaning Go and Node.js, and use Claude Code as a core part of your workflow. This role demands ownership, speed, and a willingness to navigate ambiguity in a small, high-caliber team.

Qualifications

• Strong backend fundamentals: databases, data structures, async programming and system design.
• Solid full-stack capability to ship features end-to-end.
• Heavy fluency with AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code) for an AI-driven workflow.

Responsibilities

• Own backend architecture end-to-end for a greenfield product, including services, data model and APIs.
• Design scalable data structures and system architecture for a customer-facing product.
• Build and maintain backend services and APIs in a Go/Node.js environment; contribute to frontend as needed.
• Take true end-to-end ownership: propose, defend and build the approach.
