Job summary

LiveView Technologies is hiring a Staff Fullstack Software Engineer to set the technical direction for software spanning the UI and mission-critical backend services. You will own end-to-end architecture from React components to GraphQL federation, mentoring engineers, and driving scalable, secure systems.

You will shape decisions across frontend and backend, establish robust design docs, and partner with cross-org stakeholders on multi-quarter technical initiatives.

Qualifications

• > 8 years of professional development using TypeScript across client and server
• > Experience leading non-trivial architectures in React and Next.js (App Router)
• > Deep production expertise with Node.js backends (NestJS preferred) and GraphQL ecosystems
• > Data & real-time systems with relational DBs (MySQL) and ORMs
• > Security patterns (OAuth/OIDC, JWT, ABAC/ReBAC) and CI/CD
• > Legacy systems navigation and refactoring with limited docs
• > Strong technical leadership and cross-team influence
• > Nice-to-have: RabbitMQ, MQTT, OPA/OpenPolicyAgent, observability tools

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical authority across the stack (UI, BFF, GraphQL APIs, backend data systems).
• Lead complex architectural decisions and publish foundational design docs.
• Mentor engineers across frontend and backend.
• Define SLOs, tracing, and dashboards for reliability.
• Govern GraphQL federation, data contracts, and schema evolution.
• Improve CI/CD performance and reduce legacy surface area.
