ID.me is seeking a Staff Software Engineer, Full Stack to join the Commerce & Loyalty team in Mountain View, CA. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/engineering.
• 5+ years of frontend engineering experience.
• Strong vanilla JavaScript, HTML, and DOM knowledge.
• Experience shipping Web Components in production.
• Solid React (and Next.js) experience required for adoption.
• Experience with UI component libraries and design systems.
• Familiarity with design tokens, theming, and scalable CSS.
• Proven collaboration with design on system-level UI.
• Strong accessibility and cross-browser knowledge.
• Backend language familiarity and full stack ownership.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Shop frontend surfaces using React/Next.js and TypeScript.
• Develop backend REST endpoints to support frontend features.
• Integrate with Shopping Graph and Developer Portal APIs.
• Participate in platform modernization and UI pattern adoption.
• Contribute reusable components to shared design system when applicable.
• Collaborate with Design and Product to translate concepts into UI.
• Set patterns for testing, code quality, and reviews; mentor others.
• Ensure performance, accessibility, and reliability; handle incidents.
