Job summary

ID.me is hiring a Software Development Engineer III for the Commerce & Loyalty team to build Shop, the member-facing platform delivering offers, cashback and benefits. You will code with Next.js/React, shape discovery of offers, and ensure secure identity integration across millions of users.

The role emphasizes AI-first development, end-to-end feature delivery, automated tests, and collaboration with Product, Design, QE, API and Infrastructure teams to scale during peak traffic.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 4+ years building web applications, with strong frontend depth in React and Next.js.
• Proficiency with TypeScript and modern frontend tooling.
• AI-first development: fluent using AI coding tools as a core part of how you build, with the discipline to validate their output.
• Proven ability to deliver features end to end, including automated test coverage, observability, monitoring, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the Shop member experience with Next.js and React.
• Develop responsive, accessible, high-performance UI for offer discovery, cashback, and rewards.
• Integrate the frontend with backend REST and GraphQL services and internal identity systems.
• Contribute to and reuse a shared design system and component library.
• Collaborate across Product, Design, Application, QE, API, and Infrastructure teams to ship features end to end.
• Write high-quality, well-tested code with automated tests and observability instrumentation.
